- 编导似乎想探讨中国封建社会的本质，以史为鉴，可知兴替。虽然整体基调非常沉重，但收获一批萌大叔还是很愉快的，叔控表示眼花缭乱简直不知该萌哪个。文官们演得一个比一个棒，还有公公们。虚构的浙江案最精彩，那俩二品井货挂了就不好玩了。布景也很神，不少匾额、对联跟情节密切相关，起到暗示作用。
- 4.5 从国家结构看问题，从根本上就与绝大多数古装剧的追求云泥之别，即便是最顶尖的《甄嬛传》/《琅琊榜》之流也无法相比。既有权谋勾心斗角、环环相扣的娱乐度，又有追问、重塑历史而书写当下现实的政治高度，所谓的“太阳下并无新事”无非如此。
