- 是马伯庸所有影视化作品中个人最喜欢的一部，基于明代土地问题史实的改编，只是真实大明历史的走向并没有那么Happy Ending，积弊已久，沉疴难返。
- 除了开头大闹赌场有些程式化，结局太理想化，给主角的特写镜头太多，其他都蛮好。主题好，内容好，干巴巴的数字讲得清楚明白，案件陈述有法庭戏的精彩，配角都好。衣裳有布有葛，有丝有绸，层次分明。还有一点不足，室内植物配置不当，炒豇豆里出现了干辣椒，辣椒虽然万历年间已经进入中国，但成为食物还时日尚早；池塘边的石头缸里种了凤眼蓝，凤眼蓝原产巴西，1844年首现美国博览会，1901年台湾从日本引进，1930年被当作畜禽饲料引入我国内地。大明朝的子民不会在水缸里种“水葫芦”。
