- 本季更像是衍生外传，伍六七戏份少得可怜，甚至专门用两集的篇幅讲赤牙和惠莲的爱恨情仇。平衡不好日常和主线的弊病尤为明显，每集仅十几分钟的时长，既想展现暗影刺客的残酷宿命，又突兀地塞进无厘头小清新桥段，而事实上后者才是核心看点。导演作为星爷粉屡次致敬，却没有把握住周星驰电影的精髓，以EP4致敬的《功夫》为例，在金句笑点频出的同时有一条小人物蜕变的清晰主线，而本季就显得非常零散和注水。音乐一如既往的出色但终究只能算作加分项，看剧场版是否能挽回下滑的口碑。
