- 杂糅了很多故事，“官场”的部分好看，但论及大势还是含糊了些，青天、笔架，似乎更多是个性上的东西，最后倒被嘉靖江清河浊不可偏废给抢白了一番。。。配乐挺清奇。。。
- 没有达到预期值中完美的标准，但仍是国产电视剧历史戏说类中的翘楚，整部戏就像红楼梦，主线剧情外，留下大量伏笔，配角人物如杨金水、赵贞吉等，人设如此丰满，简直就是每人一部外传，编剧刘和平的功力深厚，在摆脱二月河的束缚后，隐隐有大家风范。海瑞的人设比历史上的原型更合理，熜哥被演得活了。
